ROBERT W. KUYPERS

About Me

Robert W. Kuypers. Still curious.

Dad. Entrepreneur. Restaurant-and-technology enthusiast. A Dutch heart, a Florida home, and a fairly unreliable ability to sit still.

The people come first

I’m Robert William Kuypers, usually Robert W. Kuypers. Kenley and Braden are at the center of my life, along with the family and friends who fill these pages. This site is a place to keep our memories, share the adventures, and leave room for whatever comes next.

The work: people, restaurants, and useful ideas

My professional life connects restaurants, marketing, technology, sales, and leadership. I enjoy strategic partnerships, executive collaboration, and helping teams turn a promising idea into something that works in the real world.

Digital strategy, app development, attribution modeling, growth forecasting, and cross-industry relationships have all been part of that journey. I like a good challenge—and I’m happy to question whether the usual route is the best one.

Dutch roots. A family story worth keeping.

My Dutch heritage is an important part of who I am. My grandfather on my father’s side fought against the Nazis in the Dutch underground during World War II. That history matters deeply to me, and it belongs in the story I’m preserving for my family.

People, planet, and a business that lasts

I earned my MBA in sustainable business from Marylhurst University, focusing on triple bottom line economics: people, planet, and profit. That perspective continues to shape the questions I ask about restaurants, technology, and business.

Can an idea make the business stronger while treating people well and using fewer resources? I’m interested in practical answers: less wasted food, smarter operations, and technology that earns its place.

Beyond the desk

CrossFit, lifting weights, playing and watching soccer, culinary adventures, travel, theme parks, and hiking keep life interesting. Painting, drawing, and poetry belong here too—even if the paintbrush has been waiting patiently for a comeback.
